The Andy Warhol Museum: Michael Chow Interactive Projection

A live, interactive art installation in downtown Pittsburgh’s Cultural District April 21-23, 2016 to promote the Michael Chow exhibition at The Warhol. Video of Michael Chow in full painter’s gear surrounded by massive shadows representing his past was projected on the side of a prominent building. Passers-by joined in by striking their own poses in front of a green screen across the street. Their images were then superimposed over the Chow legacy shadows. More than 700 people took part – adding their videos to the projection stream. Participants also posted photographs of their images in social media with the hashtag “LegacyShadow.”
